Where Is God Here?

"The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good." - proverbs 15:3 KJV

Have you ever wondered "Where is God here?  Why isn't He in this situation?"  Have you ever seen a person, who is not a Christian, prosper greatly in the eyes of the world in terms of power or fame or monetary gain and wonder how he could get away with that?  It is unnerving and even disturbing sometimes to think that a non-believer could "prosper" in such a way; while devoted Christians seem to struggle their lives away.   Well, this is not about that struggle, but it is, however, about the fact that God is in control and has His eye on ALL situations, good and bad, on the believer AND the non-believer alike.   Nor is this writing about revenge and recompense as much as it is about trusting in God to do His job while being astute in doing what He has called us to do.

While it IS too easy for us as Christians who should NOT measure success by the amount of "stuff" we have, to fall into the fleshly trap of judging God of not doing His job.  We must know that God is attentive to the needs of His people and those who may BECOME His people as well.

To those who diligently seek Him in all they do, God is watching them.  To those who continually turn from God and harden their hearts, God is, likewise, watching them.  But God sees the potential in people and has hope and persistence in the possibility of turning the hearts of the non-believer.  And to those who will die in their unbelief, vengeance and judgement are HIS, not OURS.

Job asked the question, "Does He not see my ways, and count all my steps?"  God asked Jeremiah, "Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?  Do I not fill heaven and earth?"  God's Word tells us that God makes His rain fall on the just AND the unjust and that "the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him."   Simply, God's PROMISE that His eyes are on ALL OF US is an assurance that His righteousness is the overriding factor in human nature and not our own justification of right and wrong.
